Doc. dr. sc. Goran Vojković

  • Goran_VojkovicDoc. dr. sc. Goran Vojković was born in Split in 1971. He graduated in law in 1996 at the Split Faculty of law and in 1997 enrolled in the postgraduate programme in Maritime Law and Law of the Sea. At the same Faculty he obtained an MA degree with a thesis on the subject of the Maritime Domain of the Republic of Croatia. In 2006 he obtained a Ph.D. degree on the subject of the Legal Status of Inland Ports. He has published two scientific monographs: the Maritime Domain and concessions, Inland ports, and a number of academic and several dozen professional papers. In his professional papers, apart from the domain of maritime and transport law and concessions, he has dealt with topics from administrative, commercial and IT law. He actively participates in national and international conferences. He also works in publishing, bringing legal issues to a wider readership, and is a member of the Croatian Journalists Association. Goran Vojković has had more than 15 years of working experience both in the public service and the private commercial sector, which has included engagements as a legal professional and consultant. He has had extensive experience in working with EU projects. One such engagement was as key expert – deputy team leader on the PHARE 2006 project midfield for Justice. He performed a number of public offices, of which the most notable is his appointment as an external member of the Legislation Committee of the Croatian Parliament in the period from 2004 to 2008. In 2009 he was appointed Senior Lecturer at the School of Economics and Management, Department of Commercial and Company Law and in 2011 became Full Professor at the Zagreb School of Economics and Management. In 2011 he was appointed Assistant Professor at the University Zadar, Department of Maritime and Transport Law. In early 2014 he started working part-time as Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences in Zagreb, where he teaches several legal courses. In addition, he is employed at the Inland Navigation Development Centre Ltd. Zagreb. These engagements allow him to link theoretical knowledge and its practical application in the field of maritime and transport law.
