Content, Language and Editing Papers

  • Each manuscript must contain the following elements:

    • a title,
    • details of the author (name and surname, academic title, professional position, personal e-mail address, name and address of the home institution/organisation),
    • an abstract (maximum 1000 words),
    • key words (maximum 10),
    • the body text (maximum 10.000 words),
    • a bibliography/list of references

    Language:     All abstracts and full text papers must be submitted in English or Croatian. Croatian speaking authors must submit their abstracts in Croatian and English.

    Instructions for editing:

    • The authors are fully responsible for the adequacy, quality, language and translation of their papers.
    • Papers must be submitted in electronic form, in Microsoft Word for Windows (or compatible).
    • The full and final text of the paper (camera ready) must be formatted according to the following instructions:
    • A page means A4 (21 x 29.7 cm; portrait orientation), white background, all margins set at 2.5 cm.
    • The pages must be numerated.
    • At the beginning of the text, in the upper left corner, please write your name and surname, your academic title and your position/function; in the row below please write the name of your institution/organisation; follow it with one blank row, and then write the title of the paper.
    • TITLE: capital letters, Times New Roman, font 14, bold, line spacing 1.5, centred.
    • BODY TEXT (including the abstract, key words, bibliography/list of references): Times New Roman, font 12, line spacing 1.5, justified.
    • TABLES: Times New Roman, font 10, line spacing 1.0, justified.
      Tables, graphs and illustrations must be black & white, incorporated in the text, but not «locked», numerated, with a title and a description (e.g. Table 1. The structure of service providers). All graphics must be of high quality. Due care must be paid to the intellectual property rights over the materials used in the paper.
    • FOOTNOTES: Times New Roman, font 10, single spacing, justified.

    Peer review procedure

    All papers are  subject to the blind peer review procedure. Each article will be reviewed by two peer reviewers, internationally acknowledged experts in the field, appointed by the Academic Committee. Depending on the reviewers’ evaluations, the articles shall be categorized as:

    (1) original scientific paper – a paper which is characterised by originality of conclusions, or which presents previously unpublished original results of scientific research;
    (2) review article – an article which contains a detailed and comprehensive critical review of a certain problem area, but with no significant originality of results;
    (3) preliminary communication – a paper which presents primary findings of research in progress, which due to current interest require immediate publication, but without the level of deep and thorough study required for the scientific paper, and
    (4) professional paper – a paper which contains information and experience relevant for a certain profession, but without scientific characteristics.

    The reviews will be anonymous and the reviewers will communicate their comments, suggestions and corrections to the authors exclusively via the Academic Committee.

    Upon the publication in the Conference Book of Proceedings, the Editorial board will retain the rights to the printed and electronic versions of the published material.
